My favorite was Sixteen Candles, followed by Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink.   Those were great movies, contained classic lines, and Molly Ringwald was definitely the Teen Queen in the 80's.  Good times!  John Hughes was certainly a talented man - his sudden passing was sad news, indeed.

I would have to say the Baton Rouge Serial Killer - Derrick Todd Lee.  One of his victims was one of my high school classmates, and the brutality and cruelty of the crimes are mind-boggling.  His existence in the world is proof that some people are truly evil.  I hope that he has an attack of conscience before he is executed, and gives the families the closure that they need.
